Above is a greeting from me taken in the dark recesses of my space station... I will admit that the lighting in the space station isn't up to par with studio lighting, but it gets me through my day. And thank goodness it was dark, I was about ready to hop in the shower... and I was naked. **************************
I have been thinking about getting ink (a tattoo) Mom brought it up to me that she has been thinking about getting another one... and I thought that it would be a fun memory to share with her. Mom and I have talked about getting tattoos together for quite sometime and what better time than now? I have been thinking long and hard about what kind of tattoo I want, a symbol, or a picture that would mean a lot to me (and something pretty.)... If I am going to have it forever it is going to be something that is worthy of lasting forever, something with undying meaning and beauty. I have been skimming every corner of the net trying to find something that could symbolize a precious memory or wish of mine... nothing yet. I have a few ideas floating around in the back of my mind... nothing concrete however. I would prefer to use nothing but black ink and shading on my tattoo, I don't care for color much... unless it is a soft pastel color (but that would not look good on my skin tone unless it was a soft orange color.) This tattoo hunting has the potential to get very old very fast... I have a short attention span. I have also been thinking of a placement... somewhere where I can show it of if wanted, but somewhere where I can also cover it up for job purposes. On the ankle would be an option... I never wear skirts, always dress pants. But what happens when there comes a time where I 'must' wear a skirt? Huh, I'm screwed! lol. Maybe elegantly placed on the back of my shoulder. That placement I could hide well. For sure I am getting one... the question is 'what' am I getting. Some of you know me pretty well... and I am interested in some tattoo ideas you guys could come up with for me... throw me your ideas... it would be fun. *smiles*
If you have a tattoo what is it of and why did you get it?
If you want a tattoo what would you like and why?
I GOT THE JOB!!! I am now a portrait photographer! I don't know my schedule yet...but I'm so thrilled I don't care what it is. More later...

i once considered it --for months- had a design - talked to the artist - in the end -i'm glad i took my time - decided it was not what i wanted to do...
:birdie: I dont think I want a tattoo. If I ever change my mind I cant rub it off or wash it off. :birdie:
If I did get one it would have to be a rose. :hammer:
Have a good one. You are very beautiful.
Far_Skies TV? They say that the first step in winning a war is control of the media. Your little charade of greeting video isn't fooling me.
Tattoos - I would get one, except I can't think of anything to get and I can't think of where I would put it.
I don't have one and don't wnat one either. If I had to take one, it would of course be the Far_Skies emblem.
Great video!! That voice sounds famliar, hmmm, I wonder why. LOL
With regards to tattoo's I'm an addict. On my site there is a link on the left that will take you to the post I did with pictures and explanations of all my ink.
Now, something you want to keep in mind for placement will also depend on what you plan to do for a career. The main one I'm thinking of is with regards to teaching. I don't know about your neck of the woods but a lot of states frown on teachers with tattoos below skirt length or sleeve length. That still gives you a pretty good canvas to work with though.
:dancingcow:
Congratulations on your job!! I came over from CynaraJanes site...
Yay! and uh, uhm, do you know the difference beween wearing a shirt and being naked?--Good -throw on a shirt, i'll be right over...
GREAT, congratulations on your job: :camera:
wOOt! Say Cheese!:bravo::bravo::bravo::bravo::yes:
YEAH! Congrats on the job! Now none of that corrupting little kids to be your minions in your plot to take over the known universe.
I would seriously suggest that you think really hard about getting a tattoo. Although I personally don't have any (okay, maybe a few) I wish sometimes that I was clean again. But I know that you probably will get one anyway. If you insist on one my only suggestion is to get the one tattoo that I wanted to get but never got around to it. It's from a picture drawn by Lee Conklin (a phychedelic artist from the 70's) that was used on an old Santana album cover. I will put it on my site in protected if you want it and you can print it out if you'd like. Give me a few and tell me when you see it and save it so that I can delete the post. It comes from the original album cover but I cropped it in PSP. I'll tell you why I like that particular picture on the post.
BTW...congrats on the cool job!
YOU SOUND LIKE YOUR MOM!!!
Ohhhh... congrats!:big-smile:
Congrats on the job.. have fun..
Both pauline and I sport ink... and love it and want more...
My suggestion for a starter.. a kanji letter.. that is Japanese or Chinese symbol... search the net for one you like and has meaning for you... maybe one meaning 'family' would suit you, and honor your family .. something that you not likely to change your mind about..
placement... sholdar blades are nice, but you never get to see it yourself... hips are good though.. no one you don't want to see it will..
have fun with it though... it is a celebration you know..
Dance On!
first things first...congrats on the job! i just know you will get all those little screaming snot nosed kids to stop crying, dry their eyes, and smile for you because after all, you are the taker of the universe...and what you want you get! giggles...
i love ink...and have a few six and i want more! i have a few more in mind but those are going to have to wait...
a suggestion... since artsy runs in the family, design your own! i did that for a couple of my tats..changed things around or came up with a picture out of a magazine of what i wanted... they can make tat flash out of anything.. so don't limit yourself to just what is out there... and if you find your own design and use that, then it would be cheaper because then the tat place doesn't have to pay royalities to the owner of the designs.....
Congrats on the Job Cat!
Congrats on the job! I hope it turns out to be what you want. I've always been too afraid to get a tattoo, it's that whole permanent thing that keeps me from doing it.
Awesome video.... I took it and am in the process of cloning you so I ll have one of you on the North Coast.....:camera: Congrats on the job....remember these are kids pictures no funny stuff or fooling around :ROTFL:....Tattoo???? OK I got it.....get one of GrumpyBear.......get it on your tush so he will be less Grumpy.....(SMACK:hammer:)....had to put that in.....Have a great evening////////:licklips:
that job sounds awesome...
as for the ink... I say that is a COOL idea, wish my mom would get a tattoo w/ me...
my first one was home made, me and my friend a little pot and some indian ink and a nedle w/ thread... looks like crap... one day I'll have it covered or fixed or something...
second one is a fairy sitting on a musroom on my lower back... when I was thinner I loved wearing clothes to show it off... then my hubby and I go matching zodiac tats on our right biceps... me leo and him taurus... my newest (4 years old) is another fairy sitting in a flower w/ a chain of flowers going round my ankle... go here and you can see pics of them...
I'm itching for new ink... I'd like the word "forever" in cursive on my inside forarm and I'd love to get two bracelets round both my wrists... thou I can't think of a good idea for that... I'd like some kind of three goddess symbol on one and some kind of other pagan symbol of some kind just don't really know which one...
ttfn...
My 18 year old daughter just got a permenant tattoo, tattooed on her back where it will be forever and ever because it is so permenantly tattooed and she can never change her mind about it. Did I mention she was only 18?? :so-sad:
I have concealed it well, but you might be able to discern that I wasn't ecstatic about the idea. Nevertheless, it is very pretty. It is between her shoulder blades (a little higher), so that a shirt can easily cover it, if she wants. She can also wear shirts that show it off if she wants.
She designed it herself - a heart with Chinese (Japenese??) characters for "Love" in it, seated in the middle of some vine-like designs. It kinda broke my heart, but it's pretty.
When she had her Industrial put in her ear she was 17, and so I had to go with her. There's nothing to replace a dad's trip to the tattoo parlour with his daughter :wink-wink:
I'm am midly happy about your job. Only midly because I knew you had this job a week ago. I'm like Kreskin! *cue eerie music*
^ midly = mildly, sorry
ryc: LOTR is the best. You have to trust me on this. Give it another shot.
*watches video*
*lights another candle*
congrats!!
Im all for the ink!!!
First off..CONGRATS on the job. :bravo:
You will be wicked at it!
I have a a small, black tat above my right ankle. It is the Japanese symbol for 'LOVE'.
It's really pretty and not too obnoxious looking.
Well, at least I think so, hehe.
Have a great rest of the weekend, girly.
LeLo.
:dancingcow::dancingcow::dancingcow: WOOT! Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i have a tattoo it's a blue heart with a yellow halo tilted to the side. i got it because i was an idiot. it's symbology is rather depressing too. so the whole thing brings back memories that are shaded in grey.
Congratulations on getting the job, I sam so happy for you!!! It is so cool that both you and your mom have tats--I have thought about getting one, but am worried it might be painful?!! Love to you, and I'm glad you enjoyed the NFC read!!
congrats on the job. The cool mom would be the one you go get ink with...
I have a little tattoo of a shamrock on my hip. Irish pride
Congrats!!! :celebrate:  :celebrate:  :sunshine:  :sunshine:  :sunshine:

:celebrate: Your Mum says you have a new job as a :camera: Portrait photographer.:camera: Wow, what a job! A definite congrats are in order! enjoy your new job and have a wonderful Sunday as well! :celebrate:
Congrats!!! :bravo:
Congrats on the new job.
Whatever you get as a tattoo, you have it for the rest of you life. Choose wisely.
I was a sailor and I was a biker and managed to get by without one. I haven't found anything I want with me for the rest of my life. Heck, I changed my college class ring because I didn't like my first decision.
:tongue::frog::grin::flirty::question::big-smile::rollingeyes::sicky::so-cool::big-smile::rollingeyes::brokenheart::frog::grin::hmmmmm:
:bravo:
:question::straight-face::tongue:: Yes, she is amazing!
that is so awesome!!!! and a great start to an awesome career! congrats, girl! :dancingcow:
Congrats on the job.
As for the tatoo, get something small and in a place that is easily hidden. Mine is on my ankle and now I have to wear slacks everyday to work, because tats are not supposed to be visible. It will be a nice memory for you and mom.
Hugs, Tricia
You remind me of a young Linda Ronstadt. Do you sing?
.....ok since you cannot be much weirder than I I decided to tag you and you need to do this and trust me on this .....you can be as weird as you like....hope you are feeling fine and not so stressed....when do you start your new job????? BearHugs
If I haven't misread it, your grandmother gave the best tattoo idea.. she mentioned writting a bumblebee on your hand ?? What nicer tribute to the connection you have than a cute bumble bee.. and it is something that can easily be worked into a larger design much later in life..just an idea..
Dance On!
I have three tattoos from when I was a punk rocker in the 1980s. I thought I was tough, now I know I am. I wish I hadn't gotten them in retrospect, but I guess they are like battlescars. Those were the funnest years of my life, wild and free!
Woah! Hey you are nowhere's even close to being sinister enogh to take over the world...
I mean where is the maniacal laugh, and evil grin?
It's a good thing you have me for a lacky, I can show you these things...
Let's start with the maniacal laugh...
