Strangeness
I was a very ill little kid, sick all the time. Strep throat, tonsillitis, the flu, you name it I had... every now and again all at the same time (it was like the exorcist minus the demonic activity, but my mother could argue that). Something interesting happens whenever I had the flu... there would always be a Jaws marathon on TV. Believe it or not this strange phenomenon still happened to this day, LOL. Don't ask me why, but it does. I love the movie Jaws, never cared for the sequels much, overkill if you ask me.
I am a little disappointed today because the closest thing to Jaws that is on right now is Flipper! LOL, oh well, maybe next time, right?
Aside from Jaws, some of my favorite movies to watch when sick are in no specific order:
- Bram Stoker's Dracula.
- The Other Sister.
- Predator.
- Silence Of The Lambs.
- City Of Angels.
- What A Girl Wants.
- Star Wars: A New Hope.
- Star Wars: Return Of The Jedi.
- Ewoks: The Battle for Endor
You will notice that none of the movies above are funny... thats because laughing is a bad idea when you have the flu.
What are your favorite movies to watch when your sick?*********************

You are magnificently funny! I don't care much for movies, as you know. I am a reader. I like to make up my own images. I liked the "Destroyer" (I read the entire series which I have in paperback); "A Thousand Clowns"; "Rush Hour" with Jackie Chan (We are a martial Arts family.); "The Notebook"; " The Transporter". I love high adventure.
^ I don't think my grammy watches freakin Transporter when she's sick
Truly, I haven't been sick in the past 25 years except for once when I was out of town on business. No movies then :pokey:
But to answer the spirit of your question, I can watch Casablanca, Moonstruck, Lawrence of Arabia, and all 3 LOTR's just about any time. And for Micahvus we always watch Die Hard (but then, doesn't everybody?)
I hope you heal quickly, sweetheart

I sleep and sleep and sleep when I'm sick. Get better soon Cat.
That is so true about the cartoon. Keep up the great work. Feel better soon. Hope you liked the chocolates. :celebrate:
When I was a kid, I missed school a lot. I would miss 30-40 days a year from 3rd grade to 7th grade. I used to watch game shows like The Price is Right.
I get royally sick when I get sick, so no watching tv for me! Neat choices for movies.
I used to watch a-team marathons when I was sick as a kid. :hacker:
The Godfathers, the star wars, the lord of the rings, well almost anything
Jaws sequels, overkill, Ha.... you kill me, get it, overkill
Hmm I guess it would be something sappy like. When Harry met Sally or some other romantic comedy. weird huh. But mainly I sleep. Great cartoon
I like to read Illusions, by Richard Bach when I'm sick. TV gives me a headache when I'm feeling bad. Some Favorite Movies would include: Thirteenth Floor, Dark City, V for Vendetta, Tao of Steve, Pan's Labrynth, Goonies, Usual Suspects, 2001 A Space Odyssey, Doctor Strangelove, The Rats of Nymn, Sword in the Stone, and many, many more.
